Our Purpose

Vision

This vision [what we see, by the Spirit] of Assemble Church is simple, yet profound. It isn’t of human origin, but of the Lord given via scripture. In Exodus 6:6-7 God lays out a 4 part promise for His people. Our vision is to be a church that helps people live out that promise to

Know God

We believe that Jesus died for us on the cross and made forgiveness available to everyone.
His death was the final sacrifice for all sin removing our guilt and shame and placing it on himself.
By dying for us Jesus' death removed our separation from God and reconciled people to Him. He reunited people with God and restored the relationship with our creator.
We can now all experience new joy and power in this life, access to Gods presence, love and grace, and the hope of eternal life spent with Him.
We believe we can now have a relationship with God through Jesus, by establishing a personal connection with him through faith, trust, and intimacy, where we actively seek to know him through prayer, studying the Bible, and aligning our lives with his teachings, experiencing his love and guidance in our daily lives, and considering him as a close friend or companion who is always present; it goes beyond simply believing in him and involves actively incorporating his values into our actions and decisions

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life ~ John 3:16 NIV

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! ~ Romans 5:8-10

Find Freedom

Freedom in Christ is the ability to choose to obey God's will and to know, love, and worship Him. It's a growing life that's set free from sin and the bondage of one's past.

Christ has set us free to live a free live. So, take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you. ~ Galatians 5:1 [MSG]

Discover Purpose

As part of the family of believers our purpose is to work together to build up the body of Christ (his church) and glorify God. The Bible says that serving in the church is a way to love others, grow in faith, and reflect commitment to Christ.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:11-18 NIV

Make A Difference

As a member of our local community, Assemble Church Meets for worship, Bible study, and opportunities for spiritual growth.

Our aim is to Create a space for people to connect, build relationships, and feel supported.

We intend to provide practical assistance like food banks, support local schools and initiatives targeting those in need.

We aim to support the whole family including teaching in Kids church, youth groups, men’s and women’s ministries along with other educational initiatives. We aim to mobilise our members to volunteer for community projects and initiatives.

We also plan to take a stand on social issues and in promoting positive change.

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also, faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. ~ James 2:14-17

Mission

The vision doesn’t change. How we outwork the vision is ever-changing.
This year, in 2026, we are working towards this mission:
By December 2026, we will have 20 baptisms, 60 committed members, and a fully functioning four-part pastoral and discipleship pathway, because Newark needs a church that is
intentional, healthy, and commission-shaped.
