Financial Accountability

The church is in a privileged position of stewarding finance that belongs to God, here on earth. Assemble Church has a responsibility to manage finance in accordance with biblical principles, whilst also staying firmly within the realms of charitable law, and our charitable objectives.

Our Financial Model

We aim for our costs to be split equally across four areas: Outreach and Pastoral, Operations, Staff Salaries, and Future Savings. This keeps us accountable and ensures we're spending money on the things we see as important. We aren't always bang on, but this model helps us stay on course.


Our Finance Process

  • Budget areas and leads are agreed ahead of the financial year by the Senior Leadership Team
  • Specific budgets are discussed between budget leads and the finance team
  • The budget is discussed and agreed by the Senior Leadership Team
  • The charity trustees agree and sign off the final budget
  • Anyone who gives, tithes, or contributes to any offering is given a financial report quarterly
